WEEK 4 PREVIEW AND NEWS
USC vs Michigan
For the second time this season, Michigan is under the spotlight as they face the USC Trojans. A top 25 matchup that has the Wolverine fans a little worried. If you asked analysts last year about this matchup they would already chalk up a W for Michigan. USC is actually favored in the Big House, Miller Moss looks great, the defense looks way better than last year and they already have a big win this season against LSU. Alex Orji, QB for the Wolverines, has been named the starter after a 3 INT game from Davis Warren last week. We may see a similar game plan that the Wolverines had against Penn State last season. They ran the ball 32 straight times in the second half against the Nittany Lions and it seems like the coaching staff has no faith in Orji when it comes to throwing the ball.
Prediction: USC wins a close game and we see less than 15 passes from Michigan
Tennessee vs Oklahoma
The last time the Vols beat the Sooners was in 1939, and I believe they have a really good chance this week at getting another win. Tennessee has looked more like they did in the 2022 season when they beat Alabama and were ranked #1 in the country. They have found their QB in Nico Iamaleava, he looks like a veteran out there. He has brought back the dual threat that they missed last season and he is very accurate and gets the ball to his second and third reads.
Prediction: Tennessee wins a close game in Norman and Nico shines
News:
Tennessee announced today that they will be adding a “10% talent fee” to their ticket prices starting in 2025. This fee will help the Vols give back to their players and hopefully help build a roster to compete for a title. Many people, including myself, worry about the sport and where it is going with this news today. People do not want to spend even more money to watch their favorite team play. Now I know some die hard fans love this because they can contribute to building the roster. Now it puts more pressure on the coaches and the players to succeed. Also, why can teams like Ohio State and Texas get all of these players without this talent tax? Why does Tennessee need this? This shows me that they are struggling to get NIL money together and they need to go to more extreme measures. I believe lots of teams will be following suit with the Vols and it may hurt attendance, and if it doesn't hurt attendance the crowds may not be as loud as some die hard fans that go to lots of games may not be able to afford tickets anymore.

How I got to that: Very impressed with Alabama going on the road and dominating Wisconsin, Oregon played great this week and showed what they can be capable of, Georgia drops after a close game against a Kentucky team that got throttled by South Carolina
